Report about “The Poem Competition“

One day our English homework was to write a poem about our favourite place. Most pupils devoted more time to this particular homework than usual because our English teacher had founded a high-class jury-board, whose job it was to give points to the poem they liked most. In the following English lesson the winner(s) of this competition got named. Because the top three poem writers were girls, they received a rose and a book. (Of course an English classic.) Two girls had to share the first place because both of them had written the most beautiful, most touching and funniest poem.
